Montaxe Cancellation and Refund Policy
Here’s our Cancellation and Refund Policy for Montaxe.com
Cancellation initiated by participant:
- Cancel 30 days before the trek’s start date: Receive a full refund in the form of a Montaxe Coupon, or get a monetary refund minus 15% cancellation charges.
- Cancel between 30 and 20 days before the trek: Receive 80% of the trek fee in a Montaxe Coupon, or a monetary refund with 50% cancellation charges.
- Cancel less than 20 days before the trek: No monetary refund available. Receive 50% of your fees in a Montaxe Coupon if full payment was made. No refund for partial payments.
- Cancel less than 15 days before departure: No refund available for any payment made.
- Cancel if you are unwell and cannot join: It is advisable to rest, but please find a replacement as no refunds or transfers are provided for illness.
- Cancel if minimum participant numbers are not met: If we don’t meet the required number of participants, you can opt for a customized trip at an additional cost, reschedule to a later date, or choose a full refund.
- The advance amount paid is non-refundable in case of Cancellation.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, excluding costs for transport, insurance, and other additional components.
- If you wish to transfer your booking to the next available batch, a 20% surcharge will apply. This transfer is subject to approval by the organizer and must be requested at least 10 days before the trek begins.
- The advance booking amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
PENDING PAYMENT POLICY:
- Kindly complete your pending payment at least 5 days before the trek departs.
- If the second installment is not paid, the organizer reserves the right to cancel your booking.
- Boarding will be denied for non-payment, and your seat may be allocated to someone else.
- The advance amount paid is non-refundable in case of non-payment.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION:
Montaxe provides first aid and expert assistance at all our events. However, if an emergency evacuation is necessary, we are committed to ensuring your safe transfer to the nearest road head connected by road. From there, we will assist you in getting a vehicle to the nearest hospital or required facility. Please note, any additional costs such as porters, vehicles, ambulance, hospitalization, or other evacuation expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGE INITIATED BY MONTAXE
Unforeseen Cancellations:
- If a trip already started is canceled due to natural disasters (like snow storms or floods) or unexpected events (like political unrest or government orders), Montaxe will not provide any refunds. However suitable alternative arrangements will be made at that point of time.
- If the trip or trek is canceled before it starts due to unforeseen conditions, a full refund will be provided in the form of a voucher, valid for 6 months.
Other Reasons:
Montaxe holds the right to change or cancel your booking, as well as adjust facilities, services, or prices as detailed in our brochures or website. We aim to notify you of any changes at the time of booking. Due to the advance planning of our events, occasional minor adjustments may be necessary. Also, please be aware that listed transport timings and carriers are indicative and subject to change. If changes occur, participants have two options:
- Accept an alternative event of equivalent value.
- Cancel the event and receive a full refund, including all components paid.
TREK FITNESS REQUIREMENTS:
- Fitness Criteria: Trekkers must meet the fitness standards provided beforehand. Failure to meet these standards may result in cancellation of the trek, with the standard cancellation policy applied.
- No Refunds for Fitness Issues: If the trek is canceled or a participant withdraws due to not meeting the fitness requirements, refunds or vouchers will not be issued.
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR TREK:
- Email Cancellation: To cancel your trek, email us at contact@montaxe.com with your name and participant details. Please email only if your booking qualifies for a refund according to our policies.
- Confirmation and Policy: You will receive an email within 24 hours confirming if your booking is eligible for a refund or transfer. The cancellation policy takes effect from the time we receive your email.
- Refund Processing: Refunds are processed within 2-5 working days back to the original payment method.
- Email Only: All cancellations must be requested via email. No cancellations will be entertained over the phone or via WhatsApp to ensure clear communication.
- No Refund or Rescheduling: If your booking does not qualify for a refund or rescheduling as per our policies, please do not request it via email.
TRIP/TREK DELAY AND TRANSPORT FAILURE POLICIES:
- Unexpected Delays: Despite working with top providers, delays due to traffic or vehicle breakdowns may occur during the trip. These can affect the schedule and may result in missed connections for trains or flights.
- Cost of Alternatives: If delays happen, Montaxe will help organize alternative transport or accommodations. Participants must pay all related costs, including for alternative flights, buses, trains, emergency booking charges, or any necessary overnight stays. Participants have the option to arrange these alternatives themselves.
PARTICIPANT IN BETWEEN WITHDRAWAL OR EARLY RETURN DURING THE TREK/TRIP
- No refunds will be given if a participant leaves the trek or trip early or in between for any reason.
- Additional costs for unplanned retreat arrangements borne by the participant.
- Montaxe may deny mid-event drop-outs if suitable arrangements and conditions are not possible.
