Day 1: Arrival at Lohajung
- 250 km drive to Sari from Rishikesh
- 9-10 hours drive
- En-route Place: Devprayag, Srinagar, Karnaprayag, Dewal
Welcome to Lohajung
Lohajung is a quaint town and basecamp for treks like Roopkund and Ali Bedni Bugyal and more. From here, you'll catch the first glimpse of the Nanda Ghunti peak.

Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal
- Trek Distance: 6 km

- Elevation: 9,500 feet
- Trail Type: Mix of steep and gradual ascent.
- Water Points: Two main water points.
- Highlights: Dense oak and rhododendron forests, Bekaltal Lake.
Bekal Tal
Bekaltal is a sacred Himalayan lake dedicated to Bekal Nag. In winter, the lake freezes, and villagers come to worship during Janmashtami. There is also a temple near the lake dedicated to Bekal Nag, adding to its spiritual significance.

Brahmatal Lake
The Brahmatal trek gets its name from the sacred Brahmatal Lake, which is deeply connected to local beliefs and folklore. It is said that the lake is named after the Hindu god Brahma, who is believed to have written the Vedas here. Another popular story tells of Nanda Devi defeating the demon Brahmasur at this very spot, adding to the spiritual significance of the trek.
