Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
- Distance: Airport to hotel (approx. 10-15 km)
- Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel.
- Rest and explore the city or visit local sites like Thamel.
- Briefing session for the trek in the evening.
- Gear check and final preparations.
- Enjoy Kathmandu’s vibrant culture and food.

Day 2: Flight to Lukla (2,860m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
- Distance: Flight (30 mins), trek (8 km; 4-5 hours)
- Ascent/Descent: Mostly descent with some gradual inclines.
- Early morning 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m).
- Start trekking through pine forests and rhododendron.
- Pass small villages, bridges, and local teahouses.
- Water points available at tea houses along the trail.
- Overnight stay in Phakding (2,610m).

The flight from Kathmandu (or Ramechhap) to Lukla is an exciting start to the Everest trek! In just a short time, you'll fly over beautiful valleys and mountains, landing at Lukla—the gateway to Everest.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
- Distance: 11 km; 6-7 hours
- Ascent/Descent: Gradual ascent, then steep climb before Namche
- Follow Dudh Koshi River; cross suspension bridges with colorful prayer flags.
- Pass Monjo village and enter Sagarmatha National Park.
- Today, you’ll get your first look at Mount Everest
- Long ascent after crossing Hillary Suspension Bridge.
- Water points available at tea houses in Monjo and Jorsalle.
- Your trekking permit will be checked, and officials will record all trekkers moving forward.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
- Short acclimatization hike (1-2 hours)
- Views of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam from nearby viewpoints
- Visit local museums, including the Sherpa Museum and Sagarmatha National Park Museum.
- Stay hydrated and take it easy to adjust to altitude.
- Explore Namche Bazaar’s cafes, shops, and bakeries.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m)
- Distance: 10 km; 5-6 hours
- Descend towards the river and then a steady uphill climb to Tengboche (3,860m).
- Spot Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam along the trail.
- Visit the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal
- Water points at tea houses in Phunki Thenga and Tengboche.

Tengboche Monastery is a famous Buddhist monastery on the Everest Base Camp trek route. Known for its stunning views of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam, it’s a peaceful spot where trekkers can experience Sherpa culture and spirituality.

- Water points available at tea houses in Pangboche and Dingboche.
- The trail goes through green forests filled with birch, conifer, and rhododendron trees.
- Continue through forests, then into alpine terrain as trees disappear.

- Water points available at tea houses in Dughla and Lobuche.
