Work with Team Montaxe
Montaxe is built by people who believe the mountains are not products, but living spaces. We work on trails, with communities, and in changing weather – not just on screens.
If you care about safety, honesty, and meaningful Himalayan experiences, there’s a place for you here.

We work with trained and experienced outdoor professionals who can lead responsibly in the mountains.

- Safety & Rescue Support (seasonal)
Roles are assigned based on experience, route familiarity, and safety responsibility, not just certifications.
Local Guides & Community Partners
Montaxe strongly believes that the mountains should be led by the people who belong to them.
For most of our treks, we prioritise hiring local staff from the same trekking slope or nearby villages. This helps us ensure better safety, deeper local knowledge, and meaningful livelihoods within the mountain communities.
We actively collaborate with:
- Local mountain guides
- Porters and mule handlers
- Homestay owners
- Local transport partners
Local knowledge matters to us more than formal titles. If you live in the Himalayas and want to work with us on your home trails, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
Our commitment
- Fair and transparent compensation
- Long-term, season-after-season collaboration
- Respect for local knowledge, culture, and terrain
If you are a local from a particular trekking slope, please mention:
- The slope / region you belong to
- Your village or nearby area
- Your experience on that route
